ambient dub
NOW
2 TRACKS TO START WITH, 2 SOURCES
Ambient dub takes the dub tradition, which grew out of Jamaican reggae in the late 1960s and was an established subgenre by about 1973, into ambient territory. Divination, a pseudonym of Bill Laswell, released Ambient Dub Volume I in October 1993 on Subharmonic, recorded at Greenpoint Studio in Brooklyn. That album's page is the only dated reference I found for the style.
