AMBIENT LO-FI
No page I could open defines ambient lo-fi as a genre, so this entry describes only how the parent label is used. Wikipedia's lo-fi article treats lo-fi as deliberate unpolish and audio imperfection, and traces the chillhop and lofi hip-hop strand to 2000s beatmaking and late-2010s YouTube streams, with no section on ambient.[1] It also names chillwave and hypnagogic pop as late-2000s styles built on lo-fi aesthetics.[1]
