BOUNCY HOUSE
Bouncy house is a Spotify genre tag, mapped by Every Noise at Once, more than a scene: it groups British club and hard dance acts such as Klubbheads, Flip & Fill, Ultrabeat, Styles & Breeze and the Blackout Crew.[1] The nearest real scene is northern bounce, or scouse house, whose home in the early 2000s was the Wigan Pier club.[2] Its sound is pitched-up dance tracks over an off-beat 'donk' bass at about 150 BPM.[3] It is not bouncy techno, the Scottish hardcore of 1993, though Scott Brown's Q-Tex shows up under both.[1][4]
