RAWSTYLE

Rawstyle is hardstyle's dark wing: huge distorted kicks, synth 'screeches' in place of melody, and long anti-climax breaks over spoken rants.[1] LA Weekly traces its roots to hardstyle and Rotterdam gabber, and Hardnews dates its split from euphoric hardstyle to around 2009.[1][2] Crypsis, Radical Redemption, Digital Punk, Zatox and Delete are among its names, and Radical Redemption's first track, Darkness Is Calling with Crypsis, was an instant hit in 2011.[1][2]
