RITUAL AMBIENT
A loose label for dark, spiritually themed ambient and post-industrial work built around ritual.[1] Bandcamp Daily's 2018 list of dark ritual music, which writes of ritual music rather than ritual ambient, dates the idea to the early 1980s, when Psychic TV drew on paganism, and names Coil, Lustmord, Phurpa and Rudolf Eb.er among others.[1]
