What iscomfy synth?

Comfy synth is a micro-genre of short albums, often about 15 minutes of looping, childlike synth patterns, with overly cute artwork and a small world or character built around each release.[1] Bandcamp Daily's list says it grew from dungeon synth albums such as Hole Dweller's Flies the Coop and Decrepit Corridor's Lethargic Lullabies, and points to Grandma's Cottage, which reached Bandcamp in late 2019.[1] The article gives no date for the term itself.[1]
