DARKSTEP
Darkstep is the most extreme dark form of drum and bass, fast and harsh, keeping darkcore's horror-film samples and reversed whispers in smaller doses.[1] 12edit credits Grooverider with putting the name into use in the late 1990s and treats darkside as a loose word for all dark styles rather than a genre of its own.[1] Wikipedia describes it as a fusion of darkcore and drum and bass.[2] Technical Itch, Limewax and Spirit's remix of Goldie's Sinister are among its records.[1]
