DUB METAL
No source read treats dub metal as a defined style, so the name is a shelf label for bands that cross dub with heavy guitars.[1][2] Dub War formed in Newport, Wales, in 1993 and mixed metal, punk and reggae.[1] Dub Trio, from Brooklyn since 2000, add metal and punk to the dub approach of King Tubby.[2]
