ELECTRO HOUSE
Electro house runs at roughly 125 to 135 BPM, with a buzzing, distorted sawtooth bassline under big four-on-the-floor kicks.[1] Basement Jaxx's "Raw S*it" (1997) is an early proto-example, and Benny Benassi's "Satisfaction" (2002) is often cited as defining the sound.[1] The name became standard by late 2005, and Fedde Le Grand's "Put Your Hands Up For Detroit" reached number one in the UK in 2006.[1]
