JERSEY CLUB
Jersey club is a fast, bouncy dance style at roughly 130 to 140 BPM, with triplet-shuffled kicks, chopped rap and R&B vocal samples and breaks from Lyn Collins' "Think (About It)".[1] It came out of Newark, New Jersey, in the late 1990s and early 2000s, building on Baltimore club, and was first called Brick City club before the Jersey name spread around 2005.[1] DJ Tameil's 2001 release Dat Butt, the Brick Bandits, DJ Frosty and Uniiqu3 were early names, and Bandmanrill and Cookiee Kawaii fed its recent rap crossover.[1]
