HARSH NOISE
Extreme noise that came out of the Japanoise scene and Kansai no wave in the 1980s, with European power electronics as an influence.[1] Merzbow, Hijokaidan, Hanatarash, C.C.C.C. and Incapacitants helped establish it, and American acts such as the Haters and Daniel Menche popularised it in the US.[1] Merzbow released Pulse Demon on Relapse Records in 1996.[2]
