PROGRESSIVE PSYTRANCE
Psytrance Guide lists progressive psy at 130 to 140 BPM and says it works on groove and development over time rather than one signature sound.[2] It dates the style to the mid-2000s in Europe, while Ishkur says the early 2000s.[2][3] Ektoplazm calls it deep, funky and slow to build, usually 130 to 142 BPM.[4] Wikipedia lists it as a psytrance subgenre and captions Square Punch's "Thundercat" (2011) as an example.[1]
