VOGUE
Vogue, or ballroom, music is built for the voguing competitions of New York's queer ballroom scene, where houses such as LaBeija and Corey held balls.[1] Masters at Work's "The Ha Dance" (1991), with a laughing "ha" chant sampled from Trading Places, helped push the dance toward the dramatic floor drops of Vogue Fem, and Vjuan Allure's 2000 "Allure Ha" edits led to harder tracks.[1] MikeQ's 2011 EP reworked "The Ha Dance", and later producers mixed ballroom with Baltimore club, house and hip hop.[1]
