DIVA HOUSE
Diva house is built on big, often female vocals, piano stabs and breakdowns over a four-on-the-floor beat.[1] It emerged in the early 1990s, was being called that by 1992, and grew popular in gay clubs later in the decade.[1] Producers sampled or remixed singers such as Judy Garland, Liza Minnelli, Whitney Houston and Madonna.[1]
