ACID HOUSE
Acid house is house music built around the squelchy bassline of the Roland TB-303, produced by raising filter resonance and lowering the cutoff.[1] It developed in Chicago around 1985 to 1986, and Phuture's Acid Tracks, released on Trax in 1987, gave the style its name.[1] In the UK it spread through London's Shoom, opened in November 1987, and Manchester, which produced A Guy Called Gerald and 808 State, while Baby Ford's Oochy Koochy is regarded as the first British acid house track.[1]
