On the drum and bass line between intelligent drum and bass and drill and bass. Grew out of techno, dub (downtempo line) and reggae.

DRUM AND BASS
Drum and bass grew out of jungle around 1995, when producers moved away from ragga vocals toward instrumental tracks built on breakbeats and deep bass.[1][2] Alex Reece's sparse Pulp Fiction (1995) is often named as the record that changed the music.[3] Goldie's Metalheadz, whose first 12-inch in 1994 paired him with Doc Scott, and LTJ Bukem's Good Looking were among its main labels.[4][5] Within a few years it split into techstep, jump-up, neurofunk, liquid funk and other strands.[6]
