ETHNIC ELECTRONICA
Ethnic electronica is a wide category of electronic music rooted in local folk and regional traditions, also filed as ethnotronica or ethno techno.[1] Transglobal Underground, formed in London in 1990 and signed to Nation Records, joined Western dance music to Asian and African sounds.[2] Asian Dub Foundation came out of a 1993 education workshop in Farringdon and mixed dub, ragga and South Asian music.[3]
