FLASHCORE
Flashcore is experimental speedcore: high-pitched 'laser' kicks at speedcore tempo, irregular rhythms and ambient or electroacoustic textures, often from modular synth jams.[1] It grew from La Peste's late 1990s mixes of speedcore with ambient, and from his label Hangars Liquides, founded in 1998, which released flashcore from about 2000.[1][2] There is no agreed definition: The Hard Data says the name now works as a loose umbrella for French-style experimental speedcore, with artists such as Neurocore, Atomhead and I:gor.[1][2]
