What isidm?
On the electronica line between electronica and glitch. Grew out of detroit techno (techno line), ambient techno (ambient line), acid house (house line) and breakbeat.

IDM
IDM is electronic music made more for listening at home than for the club, grown out of Detroit techno, ambient techno and acid house.[2] Warp's 1992 compilation Artificial Intelligence, with Autechre and Aphex Twin as The Dice Man, gave it a shape, and the name followed on Usenet and a 1993 mailing list, though many of its artists disliked the word intelligent.[1][2] In the mid-1990s some of its producers took up jungle's breakbeats, which became drill and bass.[3]
