HARD BASS
Hardbass is a fast offshoot of pumping house, usually at 150 to 175 BPM, with "donk" basslines, distorted sounds and heavy kicks.[1] It emerged in the late 1990s in the underground dance scene of Saint Petersburg, Russia.[1] Klubbheads are credited with inventing the donk bass sound in 1997, and XS Project's "Bochka, Bass, Kolbasyor" and its satirical video helped spread the style.[1]
