J-CORE
J-core is Japanese hardcore: gabber and speedcore kicks at 200 BPM or more under chipmunked anime, game and pop samples, with sudden cuts and tempo changes.[1] DJ Sharpnel set the template with his first Sharpnelsound CD-R in 1998, followed by Technorch, M-Project, REDALiCE and t+pazolite, several of whom also write for rhythm games such as Beatmania IIDX.[1] Technorch says the name was coined around 2006 on an overseas forum, and most of the music is sold on CD at dojin fairs such as Comiket and M3.[1]
