JUMPSTYLE
Jumpstyle is Belgian and Dutch hard dance at about 140 to 150 BPM: a gabber-style kick, Euro-trance melodies, and a dance, jumpen, of kicks and twists done in step.[1][2] It took shape in Flanders in the late 1990s around Da Boy Tommy's Jumper Records, reached the Netherlands around 2004, and peaked from 2006 to 2008 with Jeckyll & Hyde and Scooter.[2][3] Coone told XLR8R in 2008 that most people place its origin in Belgium, and the Reverze party in Antwerp drew 18,000.[1]
