BALTIMORE CLUB
Born in Baltimore in the early 1990s, Baltimore club fuses breakbeat with house at roughly 130 BPM.[1] It runs on looped vocal snippets and heavy breaks, with call-and-response lines like Washington's go-go.[4][1] Frank Ski, Scottie B, Shawn Caesar and DJ Class are credited with creating it, and Scottie B's Unruly Records was an early promoter.[3][1] Many tracks were made on the Ensoniq ASR-10 sampler after its 1992 release.[3][1]
