MELBOURNE BOUNCE
Melbourne bounce is a branch of electro house that began in Melbourne in the early 2010s, gaining popularity from mid 2012 and growing steadily from 2013.[1] It combines Dutch house horns, tech trance synths and scouse-house-style bass into bouncy offbeat basslines, whiny lead synths and long snare fills before the drop, usually at 128 BPM.[1] By 2014 tracks by Will Sparks, Joel Fletcher and Uberjak'd were playing at home and abroad, and Sparks' "Ah Yeah So What!" reached number 4 in Australia.[1][2]
