OUTSIDER HOUSE
Outsider house is a rough, lo-fi take on house that mixes deep house, techno, noise and ambient and avoids the polish of mainstream deep house.[1] The phrase "outsider dance" was coined in 2012 by London DJ Ben UFO and spread by the writer Scott Wilson, though Ben UFO disliked seeing it treated as a genre.[1] Laurel Halo and Anthony Naples are named artists, and L.I.E.S., 1080p and Lobster Theremin are the labels linked to the scene.[1]
