On the techno line between tekno and toytown techno. Grew out of acid house (house line), minimalism (avant-garde line), ambient and electro.

MINIMAL TECHNO
Techno reduced to its bones: a few repeating percussion and synth parts that shift slowly, so small changes feel huge. Developed in early-1990s Detroit by Robert Hood, Daniel Bell and Richie Hawtin.
