NU SKOOL BREAKS
A UK style from roughly 1998 to 2002, nu skool breaks runs at about 125 to 140 BPM with a dominant bassline, borrowing from UK garage, electro and drum and bass.[2] Next to big beat it uses fewer hip hop samples and acid sounds.[2] Rennie Pilgrem and Adam Freeland are credited with the name, from their Friction night at London's Bar Rumba, and Kickin Records issued the Nu Skool Breakz compilations in 1998.[2]
