SUOMISAUNDI
Suomisaundi, Finnish for Finnish sound, is a melodic free-form psytrance traced to Finland in the mid 1990s and to Goa parties run by collectives such as Ruskababa, Smooth Underground and Löyhä.[1] Its tracks mix acid trance, funk and breaks with video game noises, speech samples and a self-mocking humour.[1][2] Texas Faggott and Squaremeat are named as pioneers.[2] Exogenic Records, in 1997, was the first label to focus on it.[1]
