EDM that joins hip-hop trap with build-ups, drops and rave synths, typically at 140 BPM, using TR-808 drum samples and trap-style vocal samples.[1] Baauer's "Harlem Shake" (2013) was the first EDM trap song to reach No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.[1] Spotify's genre system groups DJ Snake, RL Grime and TroyBoi under it.[2]
