FILTER HOUSE
Filter house is another name for the French house sound, which centers on filter and phaser effects applied to samples of late-1970s and early-1980s disco.[1] It formed in France in the early to mid 1990s, with Daft Punk, Stardust, Cassius and Modjo among its artists.[1] Thomas Bangalter's Roulé label released some of the earliest examples.[1]
