GABBER
Gabber is the hardcore of Rotterdam: fast, distorted kicks, shouted samples, and a youth culture of shaved heads, Australian tracksuits and Air Max trainers.[1][2] The scene began in 1992, split between Rotterdam, with Paul Elstak's Rotterdam Records and the Parkzicht club, and Amsterdam, with Mokum Records.[1] ID&T's Thunderdome parties and CDs, from October 1992, made it the Netherlands' biggest youth movement of the decade, until overexposure and parody pushed it back underground.[2][1]
