PROGRESSIVE HOUSE/TRANCE
Progressive house is a British style of the early 1990s that took house toward longer, more tuneful, trance-leaning records.[1] Mixmag described it in 1992 as 'hard but tuneful, banging but thoughtful, uplifting and trancey British house'.[1] Leftfield's 'Not Forgotten' (October 1990) is credited by some as the first such record.[1] Guerilla, Bedrock, Deconstruction, Hooj Choons and Soma were among the labels.[1]
