SPEED GARAGE

UK garage at about 130 BPM: sped-up New York garage four-to-the-floor with breakbeats, warped jungle-style basslines and time-stretched vocals.[1] DJ EZ sped up Todd Edwards' "The Praise (God in His Hand)" to 130 BPM in 1994, which led to the style.[2] Armand van Helden's remix of Sneaker Pimps' "Spin Spin Sugar" (1997) brought it to the mainstream.[2]
