UK GARAGE
London dance music of the early to mid-1990s, built on New York garage house, jungle, breakbeat and R&B, usually near 130 BPM with shuffled hi-hats, sub-bass and chopped vocals.[1] It started as the second-room music at jungle nights, and pirate stations such as Rinse FM and London Underground spread it, with DJ EZ, Dreem Teem and Tuff Jam as early promoters.[1]
